This 8" tall by 6" diameter statement vase is thrown from scratch by hand on a pottery wheel without the use of molds, and is made from stoneware clay. It is decorated with a "Caffeinated Spider" pattern using a resist method combining white underglaze with an aqua celadon lead-free glaze in a quilt-like textured pattern. The piece features gold insets inspired by kintsugi, or golden joinery. However, these outer insets are not food-safe. Connecting points from dot to dot, a geometric pattern emerges. This is a one-of-a-kind piece. Wash very gently and dry by hand; because of the gold outer decoration, this piece is not dishwasher or microwave safe.
