This giant 15" diameter, 4.5" high statement bowl is thrown from scratch by hand on a pottery wheel without the use of molds, and is made from stoneware clay. It is decorated with a "Caffeinated Spider" pattern using a resist method combining a pale clay body black underglaze, covered in a subtle golden glaze inspired by Japanese maki-e lacquerware. Connecting points from dot to dot, a geometric lotus pattern emerges. Dishwasher and microwave safe. This is a one-of-a-kind piece.
