Elephant Parade Cobalt, Black, and Gold Stoneware Dinnerware
Elephant Parade Cobalt, Black, and Gold Stoneware Dinnerware
This bowl and larger plates are thrown from scratch by hand on a pottery wheel without the use of molds; the smallest plates are made using the slab-roller hand-build method, and are made from stoneware clay and finished either with a black underglaze covered with a subtle metallic gold glaze inspired by Japanese maki-e lacquerware, or covered with a striking cobalt-colored glaze. They are decorated with an "Elephant Parade" pattern using a resist method combining the clay's natural color, underglaze, and the lead-free glaze on top. Each of these is a one-of-a-kind piece. Dishwasher and microwave safe. Pickup in person only, from Kula Coffee, at Atlanta Tech Village Buckhead.
Large cobalt and white platter is 12.5" in diameter.
Large black and gold plates are both 11.5" in diameter.
Small cobalt and white plates are both 8.5" in diameter.
